Sail Away to Spectacular
Grand Manan Island is on Canada’s east coast, located between the shores of Nova Scotia and Maine. The island is in the heart of the Bay of Fundy, which has been voted Canada’s Top Natural Wonder.

Getting to Grand Manan is a trip not to be missed. You can travel direct on our excellent highways or take the road less traveled to quaint seaside villages, historic cities, and riverside towns along the way. You can spin your scenic drive here anyway you like, quick or meandering.

Once onboard the ferry in Black’s Harbour it’s a 90-minute crossing to Grand Manan Island. Enjoy the ocean scenery, the surrounding islands and maybe a whale or dolphin sighting while you sail. Our ferries have the conveniences you would expect and light meals too.

You’ll know you’re getting close to shore when you round the Swallowtail Light House and hear the Net Point Buoy ring. Now it’s time to sit back, relax and set your watch to “island time.”

Make sure to book your ferry passage in advance. To play it safe best be in the ferry compound at least 45 minutes prior to departure.

If you’re early, check out the country store in St. George or pick-up some homemade pies and seasonal wild blueberries in Pennfield. If you’re a knitter, Cricket Cove in Blacks Harbour is a great stop.
